CBO granted

PC Ridley was at court today dealing with a prolific shoplifter. Cairo REID 34 of Beckenham Road plead guilty for 12 counts of shoplifting, stealing a mixture of high end meat and alcohol the total value of over £1000 and 2 assaults that occurred between January and April 2025. Cairo was sentenced to 16 weeks behind bars. Beckenham and Penge SNT's worked together with officers from Bromley Town Centre Team to gather evidence to issue Cairo with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). 

A CBO is a court order that can set conditions on a person on conviction for an offence for up to 5 years. In this case upon his release Cairo will be subject to this CBO lasting 3 years, which will exclude him from going to High Street Beckenham, High Street Penge, Southend Road and Albemarle Road. He is also not to attend any Sainsbury's Store in England and Wales. Also if required by a police officer me must produce a receipt for any shopping he is carrying in a public place. Failure to comply with these conditions will result in him being arrested.
